Novix IQ

Software that holds up on the worst morning of the month.

We build applications, digital products and data services for people who run physical operations. Gates, yards, cargo, compliance, and the paperwork that follows them around.

What we sell

Three lines, and a straight answer about which one you need.

The dividing question is what you are actually buying. Software that runs, a digital presence, or data that has to be turned into something usable. Advice is a fourth thing, and it belongs to our sister firm.

01

App Solutions

Multi-tenant platforms, internal tools, custom applications, scheduled automations. Software that has to keep running when nobody is watching it.

02

Digital Services

Websites, brand production, domain and email setup, content and search. The public surface of a business, built to be maintained rather than rebuilt.

03

Data Services

Feeds, parsing and normalization, document conversion, recurring reports and digests. Getting data out of the format it arrived in and into the one you need.

How it is built

The unglamorous half is the half that matters.

Anyone can ship a screen. What decides whether software survives its second year is what sits underneath it: who can see what, what happens when someone makes a mistake, and whether a change can go out on a Friday without anyone holding their breath.

These are the practices we hold ourselves to on our own platform, not a wish list.

  • isolationEvery customer's data sits behind row-level isolation in Postgres, enforced by the database rather than by application code remembering to filter.
  • accessGranular role permissions with step-up multi-factor authentication on the actions that can move money, release a hold, or change a record.
  • historyCorrections are kept as amendments, never overwrites. The original entry, the change, the reason and the person are all still there a year later.
  • releaseEvery change passes an automated gate before it ships: type checking, linting, roughly 5,000 tests, a production build and a dependency audit.
  • edgeDeployed on Cloudflare's network, so the application answers from close to the yard instead of from one distant region.
  • privacyPersonal data is scrubbed before it reaches monitoring, and every subprocessor we use is named in our published Data Processing Addendum.

The platform

Built first for the gate, the yard, and the cargo.

Our flagship product is a multi-tenant platform for facilities that have to account for everything crossing their fence line. It came out of real operations on the south Texas border, where a missing seal number is not a data-quality problem, it is a customs problem.

It is in active development with live users. The product name is being finalized, so it is described here by what it does.

  • Gate control
  • Yard management
  • Cargo and seal security
  • CTPAT compliance
  • Guard rounds
  • Equipment and person registry
  • Holds and overrides
  • Incident reporting
  • Audit trail
  • Reporting and exports

Why the border matters here

Cross-border operations carry rules that most software treats as an afterthought: chain of custody on a seal, a compliance program with an auditor attached, and a workforce that does not all read the same language.

The product is bilingual because the yard is.

Two firms, on purpose

Novix IQ builds it. CB Strategic Advisors advises on it.

Novix IQ and CB Strategic Advisors are both operated by CB Investment Holdings, LLC. They are kept as separate brands because they sell genuinely different things.

If what you need is judgment, a finance function, a process rebuilt, or an operating problem worked through with someone who has run one, that is advisory work and it belongs on the CB Strategic Advisors side. If what you need is something built and running, you are in the right place.

Plenty of engagements use both. They are just billed, scoped and staffed as what they are.

Next step

Tell us what is breaking and we will tell you whether we are the right people.

No pitch deck and no discovery call before we understand the problem. Send a few sentences about what you are running and where it hurts, and you will get a straight answer, including the answer that you do not need custom software.
